Overland Park Public Schools

Blue Valley West

Public schools in Overland Park are among the best in the nation. According to a survey conducted by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, education is a top priority for local citizens. Public officials want to maintain and enhance the superior education Overland Park already offers.

Educated citizens lead to an educated workforce, an appealing benefit for companies looking to locate in the city. Overland Park has three main school districts: Blue Valley, Shawnee Mission and Olathe. Each district consistently receives high marks from the Kansas Department of Education and meets the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) set for No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
