Technology Solutions Company to Open Regional Office in Overland Park
August 14, 2007 – Overland Park soon will gain about 40 new information technology-related jobs with the announcement that Software Engineering Services (SES) will open a regional office in Building 51 of Corporate Woods. The company, which traditionally has served government and Defense Department markets, will expand its commercial consulting business with technology consulting, sales, support and administrative positions.
SES, a 15-year old information technology company based in Omaha, Neb., specializes in public-sector clients including the Department of Defense, state agencies, and local governments across the country. The Overland Park office will focus on private-sector clients, which include numerous Fortune 200 companies.
Sam Mandolfo, Director of Global Commercial Consulting, said research indicated a need for the firm’s technology staffing, process improvement, enterprise security and systems/software development services in this region. “We’re expanding our reach into commercial markets in several U.S. cities,” Mandolfo said. “We’re excited about the technology growth here.”
“Having SES choose Overland Park for a regional office is a confirmation of how a first class business environment of Overland Park and our outstanding technology work force attracts quality companies like SES,” said Andrew Nave, Business Recruitment and Retention Manager for the Overland Park Economic Development Council (OPEDC).
Tracey Osborne, president of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce said, “We’re pleased that SES has decided to establish its local operations in Overland Park. We fully expect SES to thrive here and continue to grow and expand.”
The company recently expanded its Des Monies, Ia., office, Mandolfo said, and also will be expanding commercial operations in other U.S. cities throughout 2007 and 2008.
