Regent Asset Management Solutions to Expand in Overland Park

March 8, 2010 – Regent Asset Management Solutions (RAMS), a customized collection agency, announced plans to expand its call center in Overland Park, Kanas.

Regent Asset Management Solutions will lease space previously occupied by the IRS at 7720 W. 119th Street at Rosana Square. Company officials said they will occupy approximately 15,000 square feet. The company plans to grow to 400 employees within the first year and 1,200 employees within five years.

“Today’s announcement by Regent Asset Management that it’s moving into the vacant IRS building shows the strength and diversity of our local economy,” said City of Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach.

“The prospect for 400 new jobs this year, and 1,200 in five years, brings hope and optimism for job seekers and their families. We are starting to see some light at the end of the dark economic tunnel. However, we also know that the economic recovery will be slow and arduous,” Gerlach said.

“Regent’s decision demonstrates the commitment of the Overland Park Economic Development Council and city officials to grow Overland Park’s economy during these challenging times. On behalf of the city, I want to thank the state of Kansas, the Economic Development Council and Regent Asset Management for bringing us new jobs.” added Gerlach.

“The growth of the existing Overland Park-based operations for RAMS will provide a significant number of new employment opportunities across our city as well as the region. The 1,200 jobs to be created in the next several years by RAMS join the 3,200 new jobs being created by projects recently announced in Overland Park,” said Lavern Squier, Senior Vice President of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council.

The Denver-based company has more than 27 years of experience. The company has other locations in Murchison, Texas; Las Vegas; and Phoenix. It serves a variety of industries including financial services, health care, banking, retail, education, communications, utilities, transportation, commercial, government and home owner associations.

“The efforts of Ron Frierson with the Kansas Department of Commerce and the members of the Overland Park Economic Development Council made the Kansas expansion possible,” said Michael Scata, RAMS CEO. “Jason Bexten, Regent advisory committee and Matt DuPrey, Kansas site manager, were strong advocates of making the Kansas area our preferred expansion location,”Scata added.

Company officials cited Overland Park’s quality of office space with the requisite telecommunications and fiber infrastructure, the programs and resources available through the Kansas Department of Commerce and the availability of skilled workers in the area with customer services and collections backgrounds.
